MANAGEMENT PLAN

Landscape Context

In its wider context the park can been seen extending beyond the railway and Ngaio Gorge Road to include all of the bush and sc rub-clad undeveloped land in the gorge between the developed ridges and spurs of Wadestown and Ngaio. While there is no intention or need to consider the acquisition of land above the railway or the gorge road these areas are nevertheless visually important and an integral part of the Trelissick Park - Ngaio Gorge landscape. Strategically the gorge landscape is also important in that it maintains a vegetation link from the Harbour to the outer town belt and north western suburbs.
